Unfortunately, the Norweigian winter looks just like ours...so I'll have to continue to post snow pics for a while longer :P.  But, this IS at least snow in another country ;D

I got home last night, just past 2am...still feeling jetlagged, of all things, even though it's only an hour's time difference between Finland and Norway!

This is Tarja, who comes to visit us once in a while.  I usually give him a treat while he's here (salmon, this time :D), since I feel so sorry for him; partly because he's a sweet cat who gets beat up a lot by the feral farm cats...and partly because the poor boy is named after Finland's president...who's female.   No wonder he gets beat up by all the other 'kids' ;D

This was taken a few weeks ago...it was a challenging shoot, since it was reeeeally cold, hardly any light, and I don't have a tripod.  The colours, for interests sake, aren't photoshopped.  This is how the camera captured them!

Leaving on a Jetplane...

Just wanted to leave a note to let everyone know that I'm off to Norway, so if I'm absent from your blogs it just means that I don't have internet connection where I'm staying.  I'll do my best to catch up with everyone when I come back this coming weekend...in the meantime, I've set scheduled posts to appear here each day with my pics :D

Naturally, I have my camera with me, so I hope to be able to treat you with a change of scenery with my upcoming posts...

And please don't ask me what kind it is, 'cause I soooo don't have a clue!  All I know, is that it wasn't dead...I thought it might've been since I was allowed to come so close..(ya, still don't have a zoom lens)...but once it saw that it had been discovered, it kept moving in an attempt to get away from me, yet still keeping close to the berries.

For some reason, the universe seems to not want me to capture a (focused) picture of an actual snowflake; partly because I don't have a strong enough zoom on my camera...and partly because instead of snowflakes, we've had what can only be described as frostflakes.

So...I searched long and hard for a way to get around taking a picture of a real snowflake.  And I found one :D

Boat Header

Just curious if anyone picked up on the numbers on the boat in my header??...While in the middle of the shoot of the bridge below (and other water/harbour/boat pics), I was clicking away trying to capture this cool red fishing boat...when after about 3 shots, it dawned on me what the number on the boat actually was!

What I mean to point out is that those numbers are real...(not photoshopped), and discovered totally by accident!

I thought it was kind of a cool coincidence...:D

The weather was much improved today, so I took a little drive out to Finland's longest bridge to capture it in the light of the setting sun...

Once again, I couldn't decide which picture I liked the best...which one do you like?

I felt like playing with the camera today, but didn't actually have any time to do it...so I thought I'd see what would happen if I set the camera on the dashboard in my car as I was driving home, and let it take pics with the timer.  This is what the road home from school looks like ;D
