This badger was hilarious...a really playful little fella.  He reminded me of a cat playing with it's toy, trying to get a hold of that rock...and he actually succeeded in bringing it into the enclosure with him!  He later tried to get hold of the stick, but the fence proved too great an obstacle that time :D

We've been spending a lot of time at the beach.

Since 'going pee' at the public toilet involves dragging 2 children half a kilometer away, and leaving our things unguarded, I've been trying to teach my kids how to pee 'secretly' in the water. (so sue me...it's the ocean, for cryin' out loud!)

They haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet, since they both insist on first removing their bathing suits and then proceed to 'do the deed' while giggling uncontrollably and announcing loudly "I'm peeing in the water"!!

I was so excited and looking forward to seeing these babies grow during our week at the cottage...but unfortunately, nature ran it's course (aided by a clan of crazy Swedish Canadians moving in to said cottage, located too close by) and the nest was empty 2 days later :(

Today, we're finally reunited with my family...my parents, brother, and his girlfriend.  They've all flown to Finland to see us, and we're spending a few days together at Moffa's (grandpa's) cottage.  This is Moffa...the kids adore him, especially since he's a lot of fun!

We went to the beach today...it was pretty much deserted, other than us and this older couple who couldn't keep their hands off each other.  In fact, they even..ahem..did some...ummm...exercising in the tall grass!
