Since the rules stated that we could use 52 themes of our own choosing to replace stuff in the given list, I will go ahead and use 23 or those 'freebies' since my imagination is running out of creative ways to match the themes to existing photos ;D

Ok...there it was! A fun project...albeit a lot more time consuming than I had originally though it would be. I learned a lot, though, and I feel like I improved my photography in a way that I'm sure I wouldn't have done had I not taken this on. And, please, if anyone spots the same photo used for different themes, please let me know so I can make a correction ( I do have quite a few unused shots, so I'd hate for anyone to think that I 'cheated' somehow! ;D)

Well...that's all from this blog...I hope you'll come join me over at my main space, Not Always Picture Perfect where I will continue to post my photos on a (somewhat) regular basis! I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the kind comments and often helpful feedback I've received from everyone during the course of this past year. Ever notice that when you hear the word 'weather', it's usually the bad kind that comes to mind??! And, people sure talk about the weather then, too!!! I guess it's fair to say that a favourite topic of conversation around here lately has been just that; the weather!!! (yuh....you're not seeing things; that's snow)

Perhaps you noticed the tiny, weak little branches of what is supposed to be an apple tree (above). There are an amazing amount of reason for why my poor trees won't grow, but one of them is something I had never thought of before trying to grow them; VERY LARGE BIRDS try to sit in the trees and subsequently break off all the sweet newly formed branches! My remedy for this during the past couple of years (that seems to be working)...is ribbons!!! I've tied a whole bunch of paper bands in my trees that flutter around and scare the birds away!

Around here, we don't get many skyscrapers...I think there's a law in place that doesn't allow buildings to be built that are over 6 stories high (or something like that). The closest we have are our watertowers...this one (and many others) has been converted into a café/lookout tower.

This badger was hilarious...a really playful little fella. He reminded me of a cat playing with it's toy, trying to get a hold of that rock...and he actually succeeded in bringing it into the enclosure with him! We've been spending a lot of time at the beach.

Since 'going pee' at the public toilet involves dragging 2 children half a kilometer away, and leaving our things unguarded, I've been trying to teach my kids how to pee 'secretly' in the water. (so sue me...it's the ocean, for cryin' out loud!)

They haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet, since they both insist on first removing their bathing suits and then proceed to 'do the deed' while giggling uncontrollably and announcing loudly "I'm peeing in the water"!!

A funny FB friend of mine commented that this pic makes him want to pee everytime he sees it...so, naturally I had to comment back a few times, just to 'force' him to look at it again ;D
